Week Thirty

My daughter and grandson flew back on Thursday. I miss them already. We had fun though. Brittany's 21st birthday was on the 11th and we had an Hawaiian type party with grass skirts and leis. We had Margaritas and cooked out. Later we went to a bar for a couple drinks but it was pretty dead on a Wednesday. The porch work is almost done. They didn't do a great job and had to come back a couple times to fix it. They have to come back again on Tuesday. I have someone coming to remove a tree on Tuesday as well.

Even though I was busy with my family I tried to keep up with my exercise and did pretty well. I fulfilled all the requirements for the latest contest at Curves. This week I weigh 181.6. Maybe next week i'll be in the 170s. We'll see.

Oh I made my first batch of soap yesterday. I wiped my face on my sleeve and got some lye on my face. Boy did that burn for hours. It has to incubate for a couple days then I will check it and cut it. Hopefully it will come out good. Then it will have to dry and cure for four weeks. This first batch did not have any colors or scents. I am making another batch tomorrow with lavander and purple to see how that comes out.
